What should I do in an emergency?
If your child is experiencing a life threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately.
What is the cost of a house call?
The cost of a visit varies based on the time of day. Home visits during normal business hours (8 am - 8 pm | Mon - Fri) are billed at $150 while home visits outside of normal business hours (after 8 pm | weekends | holidays) are billed at $250.
What forms or payment are accepted?
CEC accepts various forms of payment, including, cash, venmo, zelle, and paypal. We do accept credit cards and HSA debit cards with a $5 surcharge to cover fees. Sorry, no checks.
How far will you travel for house calls?
Dr. Garg will travel up to a 15 mile radius from The Ohio State University campus.
Services are available not only in your home, but anywhere your child needs care, including in grandparents' homes, during school, hotel or at sporting event.
Additional fees may apply for travel outside this area.
Will I be billed for any tests or services?
CEC has well defined charges for testing to cover the cost of medical supplies and these minimal charges will be communicated clearly during the house call. So no surprise billing after the visit.
Why don't you accept insurance?
CEC provides acute care on a self-pay basis giving us the opportunity to provide medical care for everyone despite insurance coverage. Plus we are able to keep a flat transparent price without insurance companies dictating what is and what is not covered. This makes things easier for everyone.
